It is almost November and the denim folk will be arriving in Odaiba from all over the globe to come out in droves in order to attend Lightning Magazine’s annual Inazuma Festival. Every year the location changes, but some things never do. While visiting this smorgasbord of Americana artifacts, one can find everything from American motorcycles, leather artisans, jewelry designers, diner food, to the finest in Denim Brands in Japan (Iron Heart, The Flat Head, Dry Bones, Samurai, SDA, PBJ, RJB, Skull, etc…). Here is some info/ photos from last years event and happenings.
It has loads of new features that we hope will make your browsing/buying experience a lot more fun and much easier. All prices are displayed in Pounds, Euros or Dollars and you’ll be able to pay in whichever of these currencies you wish. There are also direct links from all products to the relevant thread in the Iron Heart Forum, so you can see what other people think about the stuff and – in many cases – photos of real people wearing the stuff. You’ll be able to register, so that all your account details including past orders etc will be stored. Finally, the photos on the site, both the fit pics and the detail pics, are in another league, you’ll be able to get a good feel for the cut, the quality and the fit.
To celebrate the launch, we offered a 10% discount on anything purchased from Wednesday 22nd through Saturday 25th of September. There is even some cool new stuff that has aired for the first time.
We really hope you like the new website: your feedback is very important so please let us know what you think.
A special thanks to Andrea, Peter, Lars and Steve, for all your amazing work – and of course to everyone involved in checking, testing and generally giving moral support!
Thanks for looking, the Stubborn Crew.
Tomorrow morning will be the last time I wake up in the Bay Area as a resident. At 9:30AM I head off across this great country of ours to the greatest city on Earth, New York! I am at the moment, a mess. Figuring out last-minute details before a move such as this, can be quite overwhelming. It is a good thing I have decided to just pack my clothes and computer and head out. If things are left undone, oh well. I will get to them soon enough. There has been too much build up and I am ready to finally get out there. Goodbye Northern California, Bay Area, and San Francisco! I love you more than you know and hope to one day again live on your soil. Here is to new adventures, friends, and times in NYC! Cheers
A Time To Get, one of the blogs I tend to frequent. I came upon a post on Scott Pommier, a photographer with the type of aesthetic that seems to call to me. With clients like Harley Davidson, Converse, Dickies, Vans, Volcom, ESPN, Dazed and Confused, it is apparent that I am not the only one who enjoys the mans work. Here are a few of my favorites from his blog…
